Similarly, lower decks are often more stable than the higher ones, as they’re closer to the ship’s center of gravity. 

That’s why I prefer to go for a mid and lower staterooms. On top of that, always opt for a stateroom with a balcony; breathing fresh air will ease queasiness.

After choosing the right stateroom, pack a few sea sickness medicines along with them. 

As you know better, sickness comes from nature. No one can predict that you won’t get sick on a cruise. Dramamine (dimenhydrinate) or Bonnie (meclizine) are the most commonly used medicine for motion sickness. 

You should also consult with your doctor to get the most preferable medicine that can prevent you from getting sick on a cruise.

While sailing on the high seas, it’s crucial to eat a healthy diet. 

Munching on a nutrient-rich food like fruits, veggies, and whole grains supplies energy and stabilizes your blood sugar level and blood pressure, making you less prone to queasiness. 

Onboard, you have many food options, including complimentary dining. But don’t overeat; it can get you in trouble, too. When your digestive system gets sucked, it can cause seasickness. 

Always opt for healthy food options; seafood is the ideal option. Don’t forget to get a salad with an over meal.
